Ecstasy
What is it?
Also known as "E", it comes as white and brown tablets or different coloured capsules.

What does it do?
Can give you a trip - good and bad
Gives you a buzz

What are the risks?

  • It can kill you through your body overheating and causing heatstroke - much more likely with diabetes
  • It can kill you from hypo coma
  • It can make you depressed, miserable and paranoid afterwards
  • It can cause flashbacks
  • For girls, it can make your periods heavier

Cannabis
What is it?
Resin, dried grass or oil. Can be smoked, eaten or made into a drink.

What does it do?

  • Can give you a relaxed feeling
  • Can make colours and sounds seem sharper and brighter
  • Can make you anxious if used to much

What are the risks?

  • It can make thinking hard
  • It can affect your memory
  • It can cause lung cancer and heart disease
  • It can cause restlessness and depression if used frequently

Amphetamines
What are they?

  • White or pink pills or powder
  • Can be injected, swallowed or sniffed

What does it do?

  • Can make you feel speeded up
  • Can give you more energy and confidence
  • Can make you anxious and paranoid

What are the risks?
When you’re not using them, you feel the opposite to when you were speed
May make you do things you wouldn’t usually do.

Heroin, Cocaine
What are they?
Can be injected, smoked or, in the case of cocaine, snorted.
They are very dangerous drugs that could kill you

What do they do?

  • Can make you feel sleepy, warm and drowsy
  • Can make you feel really good

What are the risks?

  • They are extremely addictive
  • There is a high risk of overdose, which could kill you
  • There is a high risk of AIDS and Hepatitis B if injected with a shared needle

LSD
What is it?
Also known as "TABS", it is a drug soaked into blotting paper covered in designs or transfers.

What does it do?

  • Can give you a trip
  • Can be terrifying, some people commit suicide
  • Can make you depressed or paranoid

What are the risks?

  • It can kill you from hypo coma
  • It can give you flashbacks without taking the drug again

Solvents
What are they?
Chemicals used in everyday items such as hairspray, glue, deodorant and correction fluid

What do they do?

  • Make you feel light headed and slightly dizzy (like being drunk)
  • Can make you hallucinate and lose control of your mind
  • Can make you feel sleepy and possibly hypo
